ICSPR demands the international community to break their silence and take action regarding the escalating crimes of the Israeli occupation against Jerusalem, Jerusalemites and their holy sites
With concern and condemnation, the International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights “ICSPR” follows the Israeli occupation’s intentional use of excessive force against Palestinian youths, who peacefully demonstrated to denounce the barbaric criminal practices that Israeli occupation forces and settlers carry out against Palestinian civilians in Jerusalem, including arbitrary arrests, field killing, demolishing homes, daily harassment, assaults on worshipers, escalating threats and launching racist slogans and inciting the killing of Palestinians in the city of Jerusalem.
According to available documented information, peaceful demonstrations began on Thursday evening, April 22, after the occupation forces attacked worshipers leaving Al-Aqsa Mosque near Al-Amoud and Al-Sahira gates, causing nearly 100 injuries, some were transferred to hospitals for treatment, while others received field treatment.
ICSPR reiterates its condemnation of the repeated Israeli violations and crimes against the occupied city of Jerusalem and its holy sites, and affirms that these violations would not have accelerated if it wasn’t for the conspiracy of international, Arab and Islamic silence. ICSPR warns of attempts to impose occupation sovereignty over the Holy City, in contravention of the principles of international legitimacy, international humanitarian law, and for all international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause, especially the Security Council and General Assembly resolutions on occupied Jerusalem. Therefore:
1. ICSPR calls on the international community and the free people of the world to condemn the Israeli violations and crimes against the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to expose and boycott the occupation state.
2. ICSPR demands the Palestinian leadership to withdraw its recognition of the Israeli occupation, and to adopt a national plan to support the steadfastness of the people and institutions of occupied Jerusalem, and to intensify its work with international bodies to urge them to take serious action to force the occupation authorities to comply with the rules of international law.
3. ICSPR calls on the Arab and Islamic countries, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of the Islamic Conference to initiate international, political, diplomatic and legal moves to pressure the occupation to immediately stop its crimes and Judaization measures of the holy city, and to call for exceptional meetings to form an Arab and Islamic position against the occupation barbaric crimes.
