Press Release

The International Commission “Hashd”condemns the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and warns of the imminent famine, calling for international efforts to stop the genocide and deliberate destruction of the sector.

The International Commission for the Support of Palestinian People’s Rights “Hushd” today, 138 days into the genocidal war and Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli occupation forces committed 11 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 118 martyrs and 163 injuries, raising the number of victims to 29313 martyrs and 69333, with nearly 8000 still missing under the rubble. Every day, the suffering of 2 million forcibly displaced people in shelters and tents increases, who are living in extreme famine, thirst, and the spread of diseases and epidemics due to the continued Israeli aggression and retaliatory collective punishment, which caused the collapse of the health and humanitarian services system, and exacerbated the catastrophic humanitarian suffering of the inhabitants of the sector, who are living under unprecedented disastrous conditions in the history of humanity.

The International Commission “Hashd”: The imminent famine threatens the lives and souls of Gaza residents due to the continued obstruction and prevention of the entry of humanitarian aid by the Israeli occupation forces, especially for about 400,000 residents of northern Gaza who are living in the most extreme famine and malnutrition due to the continued Israeli collective and political starvation policies, deliberately obstructing the work of international humanitarian organizations, and repeatedly targeting limited humanitarian aid convoys and citizens gathered to receive them in Gaza City. This has hindered the work of the International Relief Agency and suspended its World Food Programme, exacerbating the catastrophic humanitarian suffering of the residents of northern Gaza, where famine claims the lives of dozens of them daily, especially children, women, the elderly, and the sick, which requires decisive action and concerted international and humanitarian efforts, including the opening of new humanitarian corridors to ensure the flow of adequate relief and medical aid without restrictions or conditions for the sector’s residents, especially those in northern Gaza, to contribute to stopping the deliberate genocide and destruction of the sector’s residents.

The International Commission “Hashd”: Strongly condemns the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of the Doctors Without Borders clinic in Khan Younis, which resulted in the martyrdom of 2 families of the organization’s employees and the injury of 6 others. This crime is an extension of the systematic targeting of medical teams and hospitals, as the Israeli occupation forces continue their siege and targeting of the Hope Hospital, affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent, turning Nasser Hospital into a military barracks, and detaining medical teams, displaced persons, and patients for the fourth consecutive day. In addition to threatening the lives of medical teams and patients inside it, amid the power, water, oxygen cuts and the procrastination in evacuating 110 patients and wounded in a gross violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and the provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which charged special protection for medical teams and hospitals, in addition to the general protection of civilians.

The International Commission “Hashd”: Strongly condemns the United States’ use of the “veto” right in the Security Council to thwart the Algerian resolution project aimed at stopping the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, in the third repetition of this reprehensible use since the beginning of the continuous Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip to sabotage international efforts and disable the role of the Security Council and the international system in stopping the aggression. This confirms the partnership and responsibility of the United States of America with the Israeli occupation state for the continuous and unprecedented genocide war, which requires intensifying international efforts and through the General Assembly and through the United for Peace formula to ensure the formation of an international humanitarian alliance that exceeds double standards, impotence, and the law of the jungle, and ensures the commitment of the world’s countries and international organizations to their ethical and legal obligations to stop the Israeli aggression and genocide war and provide international protection and relief to the Palestinians in implementation of the International Court of Justice’s decisions and the international humanitarian will.

The International Commission “Hashd”: The oral and written pleadings before the International Court of Justice confirm the illegality of the Israeli occupation and condemn the crimes and practices of the Israeli occupation, the crimes of racial discrimination, colonial settlement, and affirm the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, return, self-determination, and the end of the Israeli occupation, and the necessity of holding Israeli occupation leaders accountable for committing genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, and compensating the Palestinians for the long-term damage caused by the occupation. This confirms the responsibility of countries and international organizations to work individually and collectively to provide international protection to the Palestinians and impose boycott and sanctions on the Israeli occupation state to force it to dismantle the racist colonial settlement system, end its occupation, and commit to the rules of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions on the Palestinian issue.
