Press Release

The International Commission (Hashd) Israel’s Systematic Policy of Killing, Destruction, Starvation, and Thirst in the Ongoing Genocidal War on Gaza for 71 Consecutive Days Amid International Failure to Halt Aggression

The International Commission (Hashd): For 71 consecutive days, the Israeli aggression and genocidal war continue to claim the lives of civilians, especially children, women, journalists, and medical teams. The aggression has resulted in the death of approximately 27,000 citizens, either as martyrs or missing, with around 52,000 others injured. 70% of the martyrs and the wounded are children and women. The destruction of homes, residential areas, civil constructions, and ongoing aerial military attacks on various cities and areas of the Gaza Strip persist. The ground offensive is expanding, with massacres occurring in northern Gaza and the city of Khan Yunis. Families’ homes have turned into mass graves amid a shortage of equipment, the destruction of civil defines and ambulance vehicles, and the prevention of fuel supply hindering the retrieval of most martyrs’ bodies from under the rubble.

The International Commission (Hashd): Hundreds of thousands of citizens in northern Gaza face the risks of death and repeated forced displacement due to the expansion of the ground offensive in Jabalia Camp, Beit Lahia Project, Sujaya, and other neighbourhoods in Gaza City. They endure real famine due to the depletion of food supplies from markets, the prevention of humanitarian aid entry into northern Gaza by the occupation, and the destruction of shops, food stores, markets, farms, and water wells. Hospitals are being targeted and rendered unusable, displacing residents, and burning shelters, while harassment, forced displacement, torture, and execution of refugees, including women and children, persist.

The International Commission (Hashd): 90% of families in the Gaza Strip, especially in northern Gaza, spend their days without food or drinkable water under the continued siege and collective punishments. The international body condemns the intentional targeting of journalists by Israeli forces to hinder the coverage and documentation of the ongoing genocidal crimes in Gaza. This rises to the level of war crimes under the rules of international humanitarian law, which provides special protection for journalists. Simultaneously, communication cuts, internet services, blocking Palestinian websites and pages, and restricting access to information by social media networks that practice double standards and violations of freedom of opinion, expression, and media freedoms are ongoing.

The International Commission (Hashd): According to the facts imposed by the Israeli occupation forces during the ongoing savage war, unprecedented casualties, and destruction in human history, it is clear that Israel is continuing its criminal policies aimed at annihilating the population of Gaza through killing, destruction, starvation, thirst, and forced displacement. This leads to a second catastrophe for the Palestinian people.

International Body “Harass”: The ongoing genocide, collective punishment, and Israeli aggression on Gaza and other Palestinian territories, especially the incursion of Israeli forces into cities and Palestinian camps in the West Bank, particularly the repeated invasion of Jenin camp, committing field killings and destruction, expanding arbitrary detention policies, mistreatment of prisoners in occupation prisons, intrusion into sacred religious places, the rise of settler crimes, and the expansion of colonial settlements. Ongoing racial discrimination and the genocide of Palestinians are condemned.

The International Commission (Hashd):  The United Nations, contracting parties to the Geneva Conventions, international and regional organizations, and freedom-loving people worldwide are called upon to act to stop the aggression, provide international protection for civilians, especially children, women, journalists, and medical teams. Also, to open humanitarian corridors to ensure the evacuation of the wounded and the flow of humanitarian and relief aid and medical supplies without Israeli occupation conditions, distribute them to various areas of the Gaza Strip, take countermeasures by imposing sanctions and a comprehensive boycott of the Israeli occupation state, hold its leaders accountable as war criminals before the International Criminal Court, and utilize international judicial authority, ultimately leading to the end of the Israeli occupation and ensuring the Palestinians’ right to self-determination.
