ICSPR Organizes a Specialized Legal Meeting on the Impact of Enforcing Judicial Decisions in the Enforcement Court on Social Stability in the Gaza Strip
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) organized a specialized legal meeting titled “The Impact of Enforcing Judicial Decisions in the Enforcement Court on Social Stability in the Gaza Strip,” held at Al-Manal Association headquarters in Deir al-Balah, with the participation of 30 male and female lawyers. This comes as part of ICSPR’s efforts to promote the rule of law, raise legal awareness, and support initiatives that contribute to protecting social stability and strengthening community justice.
The meeting was delivered by Judge Mohammed Farwana, Head of the Enforcement Court of the Gaza Strip (Gaza and the South), who reviewed the legal framework governing the work of enforcement courts and highlighted the central importance of implementing judicial rulings and decisions in safeguarding rights, ensuring the enforcement of the law, and strengthening trust in the judicial institution. This, in turn, directly contributes to social stability and the reduction of disputes and conflicts within society.
The session also addressed the practical impact of enforcement procedures in protecting both individual and public rights, and their role in preventing the escalation of civil and legal disputes—particularly in light of the complex conditions facing the Gaza Strip, which require effective and timely justice to ensure that rights holders obtain their rights through formal legal and institutional channels. This contributes to strengthening social stability and limiting recourse to unlawful means of dispute resolution.
The meeting witnessed in-depth legal discussions among participating lawyers, who raised various interventions and questions regarding the practical and procedural challenges facing the enforcement of judicial decisions, as well as ways to develop enforcement mechanisms to ensure faster implementation, overcome obstacles, and achieve prompt justice in accordance with legal standards.
The session was moderated by activist Alaa Dawwad, Awareness and Activities Coordinator at ICSPR, with the attendance and participation of lawyer Adham Al-Majdalawi and lawyer Lubna Dhib from ICSPR’s team. They contributed to organizing the session and enhancing legal engagement among participants, in line with the workshop’s objectives of deepening legal understanding of enforcement and social stability issues.
ICSPR affirmed that organizing this meeting comes within its ongoing vision to strengthen partnerships with the legal community and expand spaces for specialized professional dialogue on issues affecting citizens’ lives and societal stability. It emphasized that respecting and effectively enforcing judicial rulings constitutes a fundamental pillar in building a society governed by justice, the rule of law, and social stability.
