For the fourth consecutive day, the Israeli military occupation forces continued to carry out a large-scale military attack on the Gaza Strip, deliberately, through military operations, harming civilians and their civilian property, including insisting on continuing to implement the policy of targeting homes; What resulted according to the latest statistics of the Palestinian Ministry of Health until the time of the hour18:00 this evening, Friday, corresponding to May 12, 2023, to the death of 33 citizens, including 6 children and 03 three women; 111 citizens were injured in various embarrassments; 32 housing units were destroyed; and damaging 532 housing units; Of these, 37 are uninhabitable.
On the fourth day of the aggression, Israeli warplanes continued attacks and raids on the Gaza Strip, deliberately targeting civilians and citizens’ homes, as warplanes destroyed 10 homes, in addition to continuing to target civilians and infrastructure, while the occupation forces continued to close all border crossings, which led to and will lead to an exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, especially with the announcement that the fuel stock in the only power plant in the Gaza Strip is about to run out; Consequently, the danger of stopping the entire power plant still exists strongly, especially if the Kerem Shalom crossing continues to be closed and fuel shipments are prevented from entering the station. The closure of the crossings also contributed to the prevention of travel patients fr from the Gaza Strip to hospitals in the West Bank and preventing the entry of medicines, supplies, and medical devices, in addition to the heavy losses incurred by the agricultural, and economic sectors as a result of the continued closure of the crossings and the aggression.
The International Commission for the Support of the Rights of the Palestinian People (Hashd) warns of the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip in light of the continued military escalation of the Israeli occupation forces, and the threat to expand those operations and the accompanying measures of a suffocating siege affecting all aspects of life for Palestinian civilians, and deploring the continued silence of the international impotence regional and regional committees stop the heinous crimes committed by the belligerent occupation authorities, and emphasizing the need for the occupying state to abide by all the legal and ethical rules imposed by the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and the Hague Conventions, following the requirements of the lived reality and the worsening humanitarian crisis, it registers and demands the following:
- The International Commission (Hashd): Urges the international community to work hard to open a humanitarian corridor to support the health sector and facilitate relief work, and put pressure on the occupying state to abide by its war actions with the principles and rules established in both the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and the First Additional Protocol of 1977.
- International Prestige (Hashd) Calls on the international community to take serious action to prevent the expansion of aggression, to stop Israeli crimes and open the crossings, and to work hard to provide international protection for civilians and calls on the contracting parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to declare a clear and explicit position towards Israel’s refusal to non-compliance and application of the Convention in the territories and work to provide international protection for the Palestinians.
- The International Commission (Hashd): Calls on the Palestinian leadership to sever relations with the occupying state and adopt a national strategy based on restoring national unity, adhering to the decisions of the national consensus, internationalizing the conflict, and maximizing the popular, political and legal engagement with the occupying state, including referring the crimes of Israeli aggression, siege, and the killing field of the International Criminal Court and serious follow-up with the Prosecutor of the Court to urge him to speed up and open an international investigation of the international crimes committed by the occupation forces, to ensure that Israeli criminals do not escape punishment.
- The International Commission (Hashd): Urges the international solidarity movement with the Palestinian people, and all Arab, regional, and international organizations to move at all legal, political, diplomatic, human rights, and popular levels, to ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip and to demand a boycott and impose sanctions on the Israeli occupation state and prevent import or export weapons to it.
