I.C.S.P.R: Israeli escalation against Palestinian detainees a clear and systematic policy to ignore their legitimate rights.
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (I.C.S.P.R) pursued with concern that hundreds of “Almtsada” forces under the responsibility of the Israel Prison Service, over the hours of day and night in Wednesday 1st February 2017 implementing wide intrusive inspections to sections 2,12,13 at Nafha prison accompanied by beating and cruel treatment of detainees and inhuman through strip them of their clothes and get them out to the squares in cold weather, using tear gas, and transfer many of them to other sections.
This recently witnessed dozens of Israeli operations breaking into sections, rooms, abuse detainees and messing with their personal belongings, including hundreds of “Almtsada” forces under the responsibility of the Israel Prison Service assault on Palestinian prisoners in section 1 of the same prison on Monday 30 January 2017.
International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (I.C.S.P.R) assure the obligation of the occupying Power, Israel, and military and civilian agents to respect international standards for the protection of prisoners, both those embodied in the four Geneva Conventions of 1949 or that do not have Treaty status as the standard minimum rules for the treatment of prisoners of 1955 and the body of principles for the protection of all persons under any form of detention or imprisonment (1988), Declaring solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, it claim the following:
I.C.S.P.R Confirm that the latest Israeli escalation against Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons falls under a clear and systematic Israeli policy ignores their legitimate rights, aiming for deprive detainees of their most basic human rights.
I.C.S.P.R Calls on the international community to exert pressure on the Israeli State to compel it to abide by international principles and norms that protect prisoners and detainees.
I.C.S.P.R Urges civil society organizations around the world to the importance of moving through the activation of international solidarity campaigns with Palestinian prisoners in order to ensure expanding the international move to pressure on Israeli State to respect the rules of international justice.
