ICSPR calls on the Public Prosecution to investigate the crime of shooting the house and car of lawyer Hatem Shaheen
The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights “ICSPR” follows with great disapproval and concern the incident that occurred at dawn today “12 April”, where unknown persons shot the house and car of lawyer Hatem Shaheen in the city of Hebron,causing no casualties. It is worth mentioning that Lawyer Shaheen is a candidate on the future list to run in the upcoming legislative elections.
ICSPR expresses its deep concern about this incident, which falls within the framework of security chaos, and declares its solidarity with lawyer Hatem Shaheen, and fears that such incidents aim to terrorize the candidates on the legislative lists. Therefore:
·ICSPR warns of the consequences of complacency with this crime, which constitutes a real threat to civil and civil peace.
·ICSPR calls on the Public Prosecution to open a serious investigation into this crime to ensure that all those proven engaged are held accountable.
·ICSPR calls on law enforcement officials to carry out their duties towards preserving the security and safety of society.
