ICSPR Continues Implementing Recreational Support Activities for Children in the Northern Gaza Strip
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights – ICSPR, in partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” organized a recreational meeting targeting children in Ahl Lebanon Camp in the Al-Saftawi area, north of the Gaza Strip, with the participation of 30 boys and girls. This activity comes as part of its ongoing efforts to support children in displacement camps and strengthen their psychological and social resilience.
The meeting included a variety of recreational and interactive activities, including physical games and a rope-jumping segment, in addition to group activities aimed at bringing joy to children and providing them with a safe space to express themselves freely.
The activity also carried a meaningful humanitarian message, as children expressed their aspirations and dreams through symbolic activities, emphasizing their desire to live in peace and continue their education despite the conditions of war. This was reflected through the release of balloons carrying messages about children’s rights.
The event witnessed a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere, with children actively engaging in the activities, which contributed to enhancing their self-confidence and relieving some of the psychological stress they face, within a supportive and encouraging environment.
ICSPR affirmed that this activity comes within the framework of its partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” which aims to support children in the Gaza Strip through humanitarian response programs, including recreational, interactive, and psychosocial support activities, helping to mitigate the impact of the difficult humanitarian conditions.
ICSPR stressed the importance of continuing such initiatives, which enhance children’s awareness of their rights and support their mental well-being, emphasizing the need to provide a safe and nurturing environment that gives children hope and ensures their right to a dignified life and safe education.
