ICSPR condemns the settlers’ assault on citizens’ properties in Jenin.
In the strongest possible terms, the International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) condemns the attack carried out by a group of settlers today, Sunday, November 21, 2021, against the properties of Palestinian citizens in the city of Jenin, where a group of settlers attacked a warehouse belonging to Tahseen Hamed, destroyed its contents, seized agricultural equipment, poured an unknown substance into an agricultural water well, and punctured the water tanks that Hamed uses to irrigate crops.
ICSPR denounces this racist crime and all the crimes and violations of settlers against Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories, which are committed under the protection of the occupation authorities. Therefore:
- ICSPR calls on the United Nations and the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to take the necessary measures to stop the settlers’ attacks against Palestinian citizens and their properties in the occupied Palestinian territories.
- ICSPR calls on the Human Rights Council and the High Commissioner for Human Rights to intervene to stop the systematic violations committed by Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli military occupation forces.
- ICSPR urges the Palestinian diplomacy to move to expose the crimes of the occupation by using all international mechanisms, including submitting a complaint to the Committee against All Forms of Racial Discrimination and refer the crimes of the Israeli occupation to the International Criminal Court.
