The International Commission “Hashd” publishes a fact sheet on “Violations against Fishermen in Gaza.”
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (Hashd) issued a fact sheet titled “Violations against Fishermen in the Gaza Strip,” which was written by Abu Tahreer Abu Arabiya.
This study demonstrates the flagrant and systemic abuses committed against Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip, as well as the significant issues confronting the fishing and fisheries industry as a result of the persistence of Israeli methods and processes.
The paper urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by actively intervening to end the illegal blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and putting pressure on the occupation authorities to force them to respect international human rights and humanitarian law principles.
It also requested that the Palestinian Authority place the subject of Palestinian fishermen on the agendas of international bodies, particularly the Human Rights Council, and launch international advocacy campaigns to highlight the dire situation of Gaza’s fishermen.
