The International Commission “Hashd”: The international community bears full responsibility for the escalation of the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people.
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (Hashd) condemns and deplores the escalating criminality of the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people in all its components, the latest of which was the raid of heavily armed military forces supported by the cover of warplanes in the camp and city of Jenin in the northern West Bank on Monday morning, on the date of 19 June 2023, according to the Ministry of Health, 3 citizens, including a child, were killed: The young man “Khaled Azam Asasah” (21), the child “Ahmed Youssef Saqr” (15) and the young man “Qassam Faisal Abu Sariya” (29). also, 31 other citizens, including 9, were seriously injured in the chest and neck area. This demonstrates once again the predominance and enlargement of the current occupation Government’s extremist and racist denials of the lowest covenants on human rights and international humanitarian law.
Making the occupation authorities fully responsible for the escalation of their crimes against Palestinian civilians, and considering that this crime is an extension of a series of crimes committed by the occupation authorities on several fronts against Palestinians, such as the escalation of daily killings, and the accelerated pace of land confiscation and settlement, and its legitimacy, which recently reached a point of no return, The authorization of more than 60 settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank, the storming of communities and villages, the initiation of arbitrary arrest operations against people, the Judaization of occupied Jerusalem, and the continuous assault of Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards, considering that the current aggression reveals the extent of the occupation authorities’ disregard for the international community and its decisions, as a result of its awareness of the international community’s state of impotence, silence, politicization, or shy stances concerning the rights of the Palestinian people under occupation, and accordingly calls on the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions to take immediate and practical measures to protect the rights of the Palestinian people under occupation.
This underlines the obligation of the High Contracting Parties to guarantee their respect in all situations. It also calls on the international community to take feasible steps to provide international protection for the Palestinian people under occupation, including a serious effort to end the occupation through a collective decision of the international community, as well as to implement boycotts and international accounting principles,as a tool for achieving the rights of the Palestinian people in their land, and to activate the course of official and popular diplomacy, including the internationalization of the file of field executions outside the scope of the law and the judiciary, as well as intensifying work with the International Criminal Court and the courts of countries that adhere to the principle of universal jurisdiction, to ensure that they are urged to open Responsible investigations into the killings of Palestinians.
