I.C.S.P.R organized film competition “best film in Human Rights filed”

On the occasion of Land Day

Gaza | International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (I.C.S.P.R) organized on Wednesday 29 March 2017, award ceremony at Red Crescent society headquarter in Gaza, to deliver the prizes of the competition ” Best film in Human Rights filed”, in the presence of national and human rights activist personalities, in commemoration of Land day 30 March 2017.

16 films talk about issues related to human rights have competed, “ Dream is a Right” for artist Suhad al-Jubairi  has won the first prize, while “ red and white “  to the artist Ahmed Abu samaha from Tulkarm has  got the second prize, Whereas the third prize is divided equally between the two films “It is forbidden “ to Sahar Dehleez , and ‘ Gaza make life ‘ to the artists Hadil Al-Dahdouh, and Abeer alherkli, while ‘ Gaza Idol ‘  to the artist Waseem Al Ghussein has won the audience award.

Rami Mohsen, Secretary of International Commission to support Palestinian Rights welcomed the attendees and emphasized that this event confirms the Palestinians’ rights especially as it coincides with the anniversary of Land day. The launch of this contest came to convince that human rights, cinema and social media are all means must not ignore the positive relationship between them, this means becoming a universal language up to all, through it the Palestinian issue can regain its importance and restore solidarity with our rights anywhere.

Mohsen thanked the Award jury upon their professionalism in choosing the films, which participated, won the awards, and called all interested and the artistic community to provide more artistic works to serve Palestinian cause.

The artist Sharif Sarhan, Member of the award jury, confirmed that the jury had adopted professional standards in choosing films that had won in the contest, stressing the need for continued artistic and cultural works for fostering cooperation and delivering the Palestinian voice to the world.

At the end of the ceremony honoring Committee which consisting of Dr. Salah Abdel Atti Chairman of I.C.S.P.R, the writer Hani Habib, Professor Yusri Darwish, Chairman of the General Union of cultural center ,the artist Sharif Sarhan, and Nessma Sheikh Ali, delivered memorial shields and financial reward for the winners. International Commission is planning that these films as a living witness to the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people, in order to share it globally via the goodwill ambassadors and through international and regional organizations concerned with human rights, and to continue promoting it via social media.
