The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights “ICSPR” issues a fact sheet entitled: “Violence against Women”
Violence against women is defined as any violent act that is motivated by gender bias and results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether this occurs In public or private life.
Through this paper, we will address the phenomenon of violence against women in terms of definition, causes, types, effects and ways to counter them.
