ICSPR Promotes Children’s Awareness of Their Rights Through an Educational and Recreational Activity at Ayadi Misr Camp

The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights (ICSPR), in partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” conducted an awareness and recreational activity for 28 children at Ayadi Misr Camp in Gaza City, as part of its ongoing programs aimed at protecting children and promoting their psychosocial well-being amid the continuing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The activity began with an educational session focusing on children’s fundamental rights. Participants were introduced to their basic rights, including the right to life, education, healthcare, protection, play, and freedom of expression, through interactive and age-appropriate methods designed to strengthen their understanding of children’s rights and encourage positive participation.

The event also included a variety of recreational activities, including group games, competitions, drawing sessions, and physical activities. These activities provided children with a safe space to interact, express their feelings, and enjoy moments of joy and recreation, while helping to reduce the psychological stress caused by war and displacement.

The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from the children, who actively engaged in the various sessions and activities. This contributed to strengthening the spirit of cooperation among them, developing their social skills, and fostering a greater sense of hope and security.

The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights (ICSPR) affirmed that protecting children and ensuring their enjoyment of their fundamental rights remain a core priority of its programs. The Commission stressed the importance of continuing educational, psychosocial, and social initiatives that provide children with a safe and supportive environment and help them overcome the psychological consequences of war, in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the principles of International Humanitarian Law.
