ICSPR Holds an Awareness Session and Recreational Activities for Children West of Gaza City

As part of its humanitarian and community-based programs aimed at protecting children and promoting their psychological and physical well-being, the International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR), in partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” organized an awareness session and recreational activities targeting children in Al-Ru’ya Camp, west of Gaza City, with the participation of 34 boys and girls, amid the continuing deterioration of humanitarian conditions that directly affect the lives of children in the Gaza Strip.

The awareness session addressed the dangers of the spread of disease and malnutrition among children under the current difficult humanitarian conditions, and children were educated about the importance of healthy nutrition, personal hygiene, and methods of disease prevention, in a way that contributes to strengthening healthy behavior and raising health awareness among the most vulnerable groups.

The event also included a range of recreational activities, group games, and psychosocial support segments aimed at alleviating the psychological stress experienced by children and providing a safe space for emotional release and recreation, thereby reinforcing their psychological and social resilience.

The activity was marked by a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere, as the children actively engaged in the different activities offered, which helped enhance their self-confidence and encouraged them to participate and interact in a supportive and safe environment.

ICSPR confirmed that this activity comes within the framework of its partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” which seeks to support children in the Gaza Strip through humanitarian response programs, including awareness, health, recreational, and psychosocial support activities, in order to mitigate the effects of the difficult humanitarian conditions experienced by children.

The Commission stressed the importance of continuing humanitarian and awareness programs targeting children under the exceptional conditions experienced by the Gaza Strip, in a way that contributes to protecting their psychological and physical health and enhancing their sense of safety and stability.
