ICSPR Elects a New Board of Directors and Reviews and Approves Its Administrative and Financial Reports
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) held its Ordinary General Assembly meeting in the presence of General Assembly members and the Board of Directors to discuss and approve the administrative and financial reports, endorse future plans, and elect a new Board of Directors for the upcoming term.
The meeting was held under exceptional and emergency circumstances imposed by the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip. It took place in a hybrid format, with a number of members participating via Zoom, while others gathered inside Gaza at the headquarters of a partner organization after ICSPR’s main office was destroyed as a result of the Israeli genocidal war.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Attorney Rami Mohsen, who emphasized the organization’s continued commitment to its human rights and humanitarian mission despite the enormous challenges. He also praised the efforts of ICSPR staff, volunteers, and partners supporting the rights of the Palestinian people.
During the meeting, ICSPR Director Dr. Salah Abdel Ati reviewed the organization’s key achievements during the 2023–2025 period. He explained that ICSPR had continued documenting Israeli violations, advancing international accountability efforts, and building local and international human rights coalitions. He also highlighted the implementation of advocacy campaigns, media activities, training and capacity-building programs, and humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting social cohesion and transitional justice, as well as providing awareness, guidance, and psychosocial support to children, women, the wounded, and victims of genocide affected by the war, while strengthening the resilience of Palestinian citizens.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the General Assembly approved the administrative and financial reports and elected a new Board of Directors. Members reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the defense of human rights, supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people, and advancing efforts toward justice and international accountability.
