ICSPR Conducts a Recreational and Supportive Activity for Children in Northern Gaza
The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights (ICSPR), in partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” carried out a recreational and engaging activity for 25 children at Osama bin Zaid Camp in the Al-Saftawi area of northern Gaza, as part of its ongoing efforts to provide psychological and social support to children and create safe spaces for them amid the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
The activity included a variety of recreational games, physical activities, and interactive exercises aimed at bringing joy and happiness to the children, providing them with an opportunity to interact and participate in an atmosphere of joy and fun, and promoting a spirit of cooperation and positive communication among them.
The activity, which was held at 9:00 a.m., witnessed enthusiastic and active participation from the children, who engaged in the various activities and sessions. This provided them with a space for recreation, emotional release, and positive expression, while helping to alleviate the psychological and social pressures associated with war and displacement.
The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights (ICSPR) affirmed that recreational and child-support activities constitute an important part of its humanitarian and community programs, given their role in promoting children’s psychological and social well-being, developing their skills, and strengthening their sense of safety and belonging.
The Commission further affirmed that the implementation of this activity comes within the framework of its partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” aimed at supporting children and affected families and strengthening humanitarian, recreational, and psychosocial support programs, thereby contributing to children’s resilience and providing them with safe and supportive environments.
The Commission stressed the importance of continuing recreational and psychosocial support activities for children in displacement camps, safeguarding their right to play and recreation, and providing safe and supportive environments that help them cope with difficult circumstances and strengthen their resilience.
