At the invitation of the Secretary of the Guardians of the Homeland Party in Menoufia…

Chairman of the International Commission “Hashd” participates in a political educational seminar on Egypt’s efforts to support the Palestinian cause throughout history.

Abdal Alati , Chairman of the International Commission to Support the Palestinian People’s Rights “Hashd”, participated in the political educational seminar organized by the Secretariat of the Guardians of the Homeland Party in Menoufia on the Egyptian state’s efforts to support the Palestinian cause throughout history. The seminar was attended by MP Ahmed Bahaa Shalaby, the party’s Secretary in the province and Chairman of the party’s parliamentary body in the House of Representatives, and was moderated by media personality Ahmed Shalaby, Secretary of the Sadat Center Secretariat in the province.

The seminar opened with the Egyptian national anthem, followed by a minute of silence for the souls of Palestinian, Egyptian, and Arab martyrs.

MP Ahmed Bahaa Shalaby welcomed the attendees, reaffirming Egypt’s historical role in supporting the Palestinian cause. He emphasized that this seminar aims to reaffirm the party’s and the Egyptian people’s support for the Palestinian cause.

Shalaby praised the significant role of the International Commission to Support the Palestinian People’s Rights “Hashd” and its Chairman, Dr. Salah Abdul Atti, for their national, human rights, and patriotic efforts.

In his speech, Abdal Alati discussed the situation of the Palestinian people, the ongoing genocide for the eighth month, and the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom and loss of 50,000 citizens, the injury of more than 80,000 others, and the repeated forced displacement faced by the 2.3 million residents of the Strip. He detailed the destruction of homes, civilian facilities, hospitals, schools, universities, mosques, churches, historical sites, shops, crops, the environment, and water wells, aiming to render the Gaza Strip uninhabitable. He highlighted the use of internationally banned weapons and the committing of 3,500 massacres against Palestinian families, the arrest of around 6,000 people, and their subsequent torture and enforced disappearance.

Abdal Alati emphasized that the Israeli occupation state has disregarded all rules of international humanitarian law and human rights conventions, refused to implement the decisions of the International Court of Justice and United Nations resolutions, and continues to block humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and fuel to Gaza, using starvation as a weapon against civilians.

He outlined the crimes of the occupation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including settlement activities, Judaization, arrests, attacks on Palestinian camps and cities, and the annexation of parts of the West Bank to the occupation state. He also touched on the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing since the beginning of the Arab-Israeli conflict, Israel’s repeated refusal to implement relevant United Nations resolutions, its aggression against Arab countries and Palestine, its disregard for international agreements and law, and its continued behavior as a rogue state practicing racism and organized state terrorism. He attributed this to the political, military, and financial support from the United States and the European bias from countries with colonial backgrounds, as well as the ongoing Arab weakness and Palestinian division that needs to be overcome in response to popular and Egyptian efforts for unity to face national and humanitarian challenges.

Abdal Alati elaborated on Egypt’s pioneering historical role in supporting Palestinian rights, highlighting various historical milestones of Egyptian governmental and popular support for Palestine and Arab national security, asserting that the Palestinian cause is an Egyptian issue just as it is an Arab and global issue for every free person in the world.

He noted the significant positions of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, his rejection of plans to liquidate the Palestinian cause and displace Palestinians, and his continued denunciation of Israeli aggression on Gaza. He called for a fair solution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution and highlighted Egypt’s efforts through the Rafah border crossing, which served as a lifeline for humanitarian aid, despite Israeli obstacles. He also mentioned Egypt’s active global diplomatic movements, the international summit in Egypt supporting Palestinian rights, Egypt’s accession to South Africa’s case before the International Court of Justice, and the importance of South Africa’s actions and Egypt’s political and diplomatic weight. He discussed Egyptian actions in the United Nations and international and regional organizations, the broad international solidarity achieved, the condemnation of the occupation, global recognition of Palestine, and diplomatic and popular movements condemning the aggression.

Abdal Alati commended the official and popular Egyptian support for Palestinian wounded and injured, the Egyptian boycott of American and European goods from countries supporting the Israeli occupation, and the participation of Egyptian civil and professional organizations in all movements alongside Palestinian organizations.

He warned of the dangers of the ongoing Israeli aggression, which poses a threat to Palestinians and regional and global security and peace, expressing concern over displacement plans rejected by the Palestinian people but thwarted by Egypt’s decisive stance. He also highlighted the risks of changing political geography, the potential occupation of the Rafah crossing by Israel, the establishment of an American military base, the use of a maritime pier under the guise of aid for the forced displacement of Palestinians, or it being a spearhead for controlling gas fields and building a canal in the framework of reshaping the region to hinder China’s Silk Road and replace it with Biden’s route.

Abdal Alati praised President Sisi’s speech at the Arab summit, calling for the implementation of Arab and Islamic summit decisions into actual steps that support Palestinian struggle and rights and Arab national security against threats, boycotting the Israeli occupation state, and supporting the path of isolating and holding it accountable before the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice. He stressed the need to work diligently to lift the collective sanctions on Gaza and enforce the entry of humanitarian aid to prevent the death of thousands of citizens threatened by famine.

At the end of the meeting, the floor was opened for discussion and interventions from the more than 150 participants from various segments of Egyptian society in Menoufia Governorate. They reaffirmed Egypt’s consistent official and popular support for Palestine and made several recommendations to develop Arab, international, and Palestinian positions and utilize the unprecedented solidarity to stop the genocide and ensure a political horizon leading to a resolution of the Palestinian issue based on relevant United Nations resolutions.

The participants condemned the crimes of the Israeli occupation, expressing confidence in the Palestinian people’s victory and their just struggle for freedom, justice, and independence.

Abdal Alati responded to the questions, thanking the Guardians of the Homeland Party for their support for Palestine and for organizing this important seminar.

During the seminar, a documentary film was shown to illustrate Egypt’s leading role in supporting the Palestinian cause throughout history.
