Press Release

The International Commission “Hashd” 90 Days on the Genocide and Continuous Israeli Aggression War, during which the people of Gaza have been and continue to be subjected to massacres, mass killings, destruction of homes and civilian structures, forced displacement, hunger, thirst, and retaliatory sanctions.

The International Commission “Hashd”: Strongly condemns the assassination of the martyr commander Saleh Al-Arouri through the bombing of his office in the southern suburb of Beirut with six missiles, resulting in his martyrdom and others. It confirms that this is a new war crime added to the series of Israeli occupation crimes, reflecting the policies and terrorism of the Israeli occupation state and its fascist government, which continues the crimes of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, expanding serious violations in the West Bank. This necessitates the international community to take decisive positions against these crimes, considering them a threat to regional and international security and the values of humanity and the principles of international law, and to take all measures to hold the leaders of the Israeli occupation accountable before international justice.

The International Commission “Hashd”: The Israeli occupation forces continue their brutal naval, aerial, and ground war attacks, resulting in the death, martyrdom, and loss of 30,000 citizens, with around 58,000 wounded, 70% of them children and women. This includes committing about 1,900 mass massacres and the destruction of citizens’ homes and residential areas, dropping more than 70,000 tons of explosives, including internationally prohibited weapons, causing the destruction of 75% of residential units, civil, commercial, agricultural, industrial, and historical structures, as well as continuing ground forces to destroy the remaining signs of civilization and infrastructure in cities and camps in the sector during ground incursions. Meanwhile, civilians continue to be killed and injured, and shelters are invaded, and citizens are arrested and transported to unknown locations, in a blatant denial and serious violations of all principles of international humanitarian law, especially the Fourth Geneva Convention and all standards and human rights treaties.

The International Commission “Hashd”:  2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza are without water, electricity, and stable communications, amidst a severe shortage of food and medical supplies. 90% of them have been forcibly displaced from their homes, living in catastrophic conditions with limited and inadequate humanitarian aid. They suffer from hunger, thirst, the spread of diseases, and health epidemics, while the international community remains unable to stop the Israeli aggression, genocide crimes, ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and retaliatory collective sanctions committed against the residents of the Gaza Strip, amid the continued limitation of aid that covers only 8% of the sector’s needs.

The International Commission “Hashd”: Keeping ten thousand cancer patients without treatment and the absence of health services due to the complete destruction and evacuation of hospitals in northern Gaza, with the overcrowding of patients and the wounded in hospitals in the south of the sector. Hospitals in Khan Yunis are targeted, and the continued regulation and obstruction of the evacuation and travel of the wounded pose a danger to the lives of thousands of patients and wounded, reflecting the extent of Israeli disregard for human rights values and standards.

The International Commission “Hashd”: Arbitrary arrests by the Israeli occupation forces since the start of the Israeli aggression have reached 4,000 cases in Gaza and 5,500 in the West Bank, including women and children. The Israeli occupation authorities continue to mistreat prisoners and detainees through policies of repression, torture, and medical neglect, leading to the death of seven detainees since October. Testimonies from released detainees from Gaza confirm torture, ill-treatment, denial of water, food, and medical treatment. The Israeli authorities continue to refuse to disclose any information about the conditions and whereabouts of those still detained from the residents of the Gaza Strip, in a serious violation of the rules and provisions of the Third and Fourth Geneva Conventions and the Convention against Torture.

The International Commission “Hashd”: Strongly condemns the racist and provocative statements by Israeli officials calling for the killing, displacement, and resettlement of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip. This is manifested through making Gaza an uninhabitable disaster zone, pushing two million of its residents into repeated forced displacement, and continuing to hinder the entry of humanitarian and relief aid, imposing closures, cutting off electricity and water, and hindering the entry of the necessary fuel to operate all vital facilities, reflecting the Israeli determination to displace the population and create a new catastrophe.

The International Commission “Hashd”: Calls on the international community, the United Nations, high contracting parties to the Geneva Conventions, international and regional organizations, and the free world to act to stop the crimes of genocide and Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. They are urged to join the lawsuit before the International Court of Justice, exert pressure on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to expedite investigations into Israeli occupation crimes, work to ensure the opening of humanitarian corridors to evacuate the wounded and bring in medical supplies and humanitarian aid, and provide the necessary fuel to operate all service and health facilities. Furthermore, they should work to ensure the protection of civilians, especially children, women, journalists, medical teams, and civilian property, and enhance solidarity activities with the struggle and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, ending the Israeli occupation, and dismantling the racist colonial system.
