Press release

The International Commission “Hashd” has launched a specialized training course to strengthen its team’s knowledge in the field of “civil peace and democratic transformation.”

Today, Sunday, the International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights “Hashd” launched a specialized training course to strengthen its team’s competencies in the field of “civil peace and democratic transformation.” The training aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the team in the areas of political participation, democracy, elections, civil peace, dialogue, and running workshops and advocacy campaigns. It is aimed at 20 young men and women volunteers in the International Commission “Hashd,” and will last 36 training hours.

Dr. Salah Abdel Atie started the training in the presence of Ms. Maysa Al-Masry, project manager, and Azza Rizk, representative of Rowad Company and the project team.

Abd El Atie welcomed the trainees and the training team, emphasizing the importance of improving the Commission’s team’s capabilities to ensure the development of the Authority’s national and societal role, as well as enhancing opportunities for youth participation in dialogue and influence aimed at enhancing civil peace, ensuring justice, and supporting the path of transformation by supporting opportunities for holding student and local elections in Gaza.

He emphasized the completion of comprehensive elections as a gateway to rebuilding the Palestinian political system on the foundations of partnership and democracy, as well as promoting a culture of tolerance, pluralism, unity, and the rule of law, protecting public rights and freedoms, enhancing human rights interventions to neutralize services, rights, and freedoms from the political conflict, and supporting opportunities to focus on youth and their economic, political, and social well-being.

Abd El Atie expressed gratitude to the Swiss Foreign Ministry for its support and collaboration with the International Commission (Hashd).

It is worth noting that the training is implemented by Rowad Development and Training Company and includes a six-day training program that addresses issues of democracy, democratic transformation, civil peace, dialogue, communication and negotiation skills, meeting and workshop leadership and management, and pressure and advocacy campaign preparation.
