The International Commission (Hashd) condemns the continuance of unfortunate incidents caused by noncompliance with safety and preventative measures.
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (Hashd) expresses great sorrow and regret over the continuing unfortunate occurrences caused by non-compliance with safety and preventative measures, the most recent of which occurred today, Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
According to current information, three children passed away today, Wednesday, in the Gaza Strip, namely five-year-old Amir Abu Taha, who died after falling into a tub of water in his Rafah home.
In Al-Bureij, the girl Taleen Tafesh died after drowning in a swimming pool in a tourist chalet while she was with her family.
And the child M-Q, who is (13) years old, died under strange circumstances after arriving in a severe condition at Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah and was subsequently certified dead after.
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (Hashd) expresses its solidarity with the victims and their families, extends heartfelt condolences and sympathy to their families, and emphasizes the importance of the Palestinian Public Prosecution opening the necessary investigations into these incidents.
It demands the following:
1- The International Commission (Hashd): urges all local governments to monitor tourism facilities, particularly swimming pools, and to follow them constantly to guarantee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, acquire relevant permits, and public safety and security conditions.
2- The International Commission (Hashd): requests that the Public Prosecution launch an immediate inquiry into the events.
3- The International Commission (Hashd) urges parents to take all essential precautions to protect their children’s safety, security, and lives.
