The International Commission (Hashd) urges responsible authorities to uphold the rule of the law and encourage social harmony.
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (Hashd) is deeply concerned about the murder of a citizen in Khan Younis Governorate, in the southern Gaza Strip, this morning, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, according to a press statement issued by the police spokesman, ” Ayman Al-Batniji,” the police opened an investigation into the incident, and several suspects were arrested.
The International Commission (Hashd), as it deplores the occurrence of these incidents, which are primarily motivated by revenge and result in the incursion on lives and property, taking the law into the hands of Palestinian society, and considering that failure to deal with it or be complacent with it may pose a grave threat to the social fabric and civil peace.
As a result, it calls on the Public Prosecution to investigate the circumstances of the aforementioned crime and publicly announce the results of its investigation, including the need to take legal deterrent measures against its perpetrators, as well as all perpetrators of violent crimes directed within society, in a way that achieves public and private deterrence, societal tranquility, personal security, and maintains civil peace, as it calls for.
