Today, Sunday, the International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) opened a training session entitled “Media pressure and advocacy” at its headquarters in Gaza City, for a group of lawyers, journalists and social media activists, in partnership with the Media Rights Advocacy Association

Dr. Alaa Hammouda, Coordinator of Training and Awareness at the International Commission, stressed the necessity of holding training meetings to educate jurists and journalists about their rights and to work on advocating for them by all available means.

In turn, Dr. Salah Abdel-Atti, Chairman of the Commission, stressed the importance of the role of the media and human rights, pointing to the dangers that the Palestinian people are exposed to as a result of the high frequency of Israeli violations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Abdel-Atti talked about the most prominent massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, the last of which was the massacre of the Al-Sawarka family and the assassination of the martyr Abu Al-Atta and how the media covered them, calling for the need to use the tactics and influences of modern media, which today constitute an influential force in advocating for Palestinian rights..
