Israeli Occupation Blocks Aid to Gaza: A War Crime and a Tool for Starvation and Blackmail
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) strongly condemns the Israeli occupation’s crime of preventing the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip and using it as a tool for blackmail, extortion, and starving Palestinians. This act constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity under the rules of international humanitarian law and international criminal law.
ICSPR warns of the catastrophic consequences of this decision on the residents of Gaza, who are victims of genocide, as it exacerbates their suffering and humanitarian crisis, especially with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.
ICSPR calls on mediators and the international community to pressure Israel to abide by the ceasefire agreement and ensure the lifting of collective punishments, allowing the free entry of aid, equipment, machinery, temporary shelters, and other humanitarian necessities into the Gaza Strip.
