ICSPR Conducts an Awareness Session to Promote Health Awareness Among Children in the Gaza Strip
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights – ICSPR, in partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” conducted an awareness session targeting children in Al-Ru’ya – Al-Jawazat Camp, west of Gaza City, with the participation of 27 boys and girls. This activity comes as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness among the most vulnerable groups and improve children’s health knowledge amid the difficult humanitarian conditions.
The session addressed the most common diseases associated with malnutrition among children and methods of prevention, while emphasizing the importance of healthy and balanced nutrition, especially under conditions that affect children’s health and development.
The activity also included a range of interactive components, such as educational games and a recreational session, aimed at simplifying the information provided and enhancing children’s understanding of health concepts in an age-appropriate manner, within a supportive and engaging environment.
The session witnessed positive interaction from the children, who showed interest and active participation, contributing to reinforcing awareness messages and promoting healthy behaviors among them.
ICSPR affirmed that this activity comes within the framework of supporting children in the Gaza Strip through humanitarian response programs, including awareness, health, and psychosocial support activities, contributing to protecting their health and improving their quality of life amid current challenges.
