ICSPR Condemns the Occupation’s Massacre at U.S.-Israeli Aid Distribution Points and Calls on the International Community to Stop the Genocide in Gaza
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) strongly condemns the horrific massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces, who opened fire on starving civilians gathered in front of one of the U.S.-Israeli aid distribution sites west of Rafah City. This brutal attack has so far resulted in the killing of 30 citizens and the injury of more than 150 others, according to initial casualty figures. The victims continue to arrive at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis on animal-drawn carts due to the blockade preventing ambulances from evacuating the wounded and retrieving the bodies of martyrs.
In another crime, Israeli forces opened fire on civilians gathered near the U.S.-Israeli aid distribution point in central Gaza along the Netzarim axis, killing one person and injuring dozens with various wounds.
ICSPR condemns that Israeli occupation forces have turned the U.S.-Israeli aid distribution points into zones of killing, chaos, humiliation, and degradation of human dignity. Repeated attacks on starving civilians have raised the death toll since the implementation of the U.S.-Israeli aid distribution mechanism on May 27, 2025, to 49 martyrs and about 250 injuries, alongside dozens of missing persons. This mechanism effectively serves as a tool for genocide and mass killing, weaponizing starvation and humanitarian aid against Gaza’s population, in complete violation of humanitarian principles and international humanitarian law.
ICSPR renews its call on the international community, the United Nations, and the parties to the Geneva Conventions and the Convention on the Prevention of Genocide to bear their moral and legal responsibilities to stop the genocide, cancel the failed U.S.-Israeli mechanism which legitimizes starvation crimes and excludes international humanitarian organizations, and compel the Israeli occupation to resume the unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid, relief supplies, and medical necessities through the United Nations and its specialized agencies—especially the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and other humanitarian organizations. ICSPR also calls for serious efforts to provide international protection to Palestinian civilians, activate boycott and sanction mechanisms against the Israeli occupation state, and hold its leaders and accomplices accountable before international courts for the crime of genocide.
