The International Commission to Support the Palestinian People’s Rights (ICSPR) strongly condemns the arrest of Palestinian journalist Dr. Nasser Al-Lahham—Director of Al Mayadeen TV’s office in Palestine and Editor-in-Chief of Ma’an News Network—by Israeli occupation forces, following a raid on his home in the city of Bethlehem and the confiscation of journalistic equipment.
This crime underscores the Israeli occupation’s persistent efforts to suppress media coverage and conceal the truth by targeting journalists through killings and arbitrary arrests.
The Commission calls on the United Nations, third-party states, and the International Federation of Journalists to act urgently to provide international protection for journalists and to hold Israeli leaders accountable for crimes committed against journalists before international courts.
