ICSPR condemns the ongoing Israeli campaign of arrests against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) followed with condemnation the Israeli campaign of arrests against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, the latest of which was on Thursday 9/12, when the occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign against (26) Palestinian citizens from the various governorates of the West Bank and the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip.

Where the Israeli occupation forces arrested (24) citizens from various cities of the West Bank, including (8) students from Al-Najah University in the city of Nablus. The arrests also included citizens from Bethlehem, in addition to four people from Dheisheh camp. As for the Gaza Strip, the campaign of arrests continued, where the occupation forces arrested two young men on the eastern border of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, and transferred them to an unknown destination on Thursday 9/12.

ICSPR warns against the policy of arbitrary arrests practiced by the occupation forces against Palestinian civilians, and considers that Israeli policies violate the principles and rules of international humanitarian law. Therefore:

  • ICSPR calls on the international community and the Security Council to stand up to its legal and moral obligations towards the Palestinian cause, and to intervene urgently to stop the crimes of the Israeli military occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip against civilian citizens and to provide urgent protection for our Palestinian people from the Israeli military occupation.
  • ICSPR calls on the League of Arab States and the Organization of the Islamic Conference for urgent and exceptional meetings to form unified positions against the escalating crimes of the occupation against Palestinian civilians.
