The International Commission (Hashd) Condemns the Ongoing Massacres Committed by the Occupation Against the Palestinian People in Gaza, the West Bank, and Palestinian Refugee Camps in Lebanon
The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights (Hashd) condemns the massacre committed by occupation forces in Tulkarem refugee camp in the northern West Bank. Last night, Thursday at 11 PM, F-16 warplanes bombed a popular café in the camp, resulting in a massacre that has claimed 18 lives and left 25 injured thus far. This marks the largest massacre in the West Bank since the Second Intifada.
The International Commission (Hashd) strongly condemns the ongoing targeting of residential homes and Palestinian families across Gaza, where, for the 363rd consecutive day, the occupation forces have been committing massacres against families and forcibly displaced persons in shelters. In the last 24 hours alone, five massacres were perpetrated against families in Gaza, resulting in 99 fatalities and 165 injuries, with many victims still trapped under the rubble. Ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them. Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, the number of martyrs who have arrived at hospitals has reached 41,689, with 96,625 injuries and approximately 15,000 missing.
Over the past three days, the occupation forces have committed a series of massacres during their incursions into areas in Khan Younis Governorate (Qizan al-Najjar, al-Manara, Ma’an, and al-Salam) on Wednesday morning, resulting in 40 martyrs and 82 injuries. Additionally, Israeli warplanes targeted the al-Amal Orphanage in western Gaza, which was sheltering displaced persons, causing the death of 5 people, most of them children, and many injuries. In a continued spree of massacres, Israeli warplanes again targeted Masqat School in al-Tuffah neighborhood, which housed thousands of displaced people, destroying large parts of the school and resulting in 17 martyrs and dozens of critical injuries. This brings the number of targeted shelters to 245 schools. The occupation also bombed scattered homes and tents for displaced persons in Gaza, leading to numerous fatalities and severe injuries.
The International Commission (Hashd) condemns Israel’s continued targeting of Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and the forced displacement of their residents. Israeli warplanes bombed several homes in Palestinian camps in southern Lebanon and Beirut, killing and injuring dozens of refugees, displacing tens of thousands of Palestinians and Lebanese, and continuing its aggression against Lebanon in blatant violations of international humanitarian law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
The International Commission (Hashd) denounces the Israeli incitement against the UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the occupation state’s actions aimed at undermining his status and role, as well as the role of the United Nations and its organizations. These actions include banning entry into the occupied Palestinian territories as part of a policy of terrorizing and obstructing international and humanitarian efforts calling for an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression and respect for international law and UN resolutions.
The International Commission (Hashd) warns of new Israeli restrictions on the entry of aid and food supplies to Gaza. The Israeli occupation has imposed new conditions on international organizations and commercial companies for the entry of goods and humanitarian aid, as well as on the convoys of trucks hired by the United Nations to transport aid from Jordan to Gaza via Israel. According to UN reports, this has resulted in more than a 50% reduction in aid and food supplies over the past three weeks compared to previous months, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip due to famine, collective punishment, and ongoing aggression.
The International Commission (Hashd) calls on the international community, the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions, and the United Nations to take serious action to halt the ongoing genocide and Israeli aggression that has persisted for a year. It also urges them to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, stop Israeli war crimes, provide international protection for civilians, impose boycotts and sanctions on the Israeli occupation state, and hold its leaders and soldiers accountable before international courts.
