The International Commission for Palestinian Rights “Hashd” Calls upon the international community to take decisive actions to halt the ongoing mass slaughter in Rafah and the Gaza Strip in general; and to prevent further crimes and violations against Palestinians. Considering Israel’s closure of crossings as an additional step towards starving, destroying, and killing Palestinian civilians in Rafah and the Gaza Strip in general; it asserts that Israeli military doctrine has turned civilians and their property into legitimate military targets, and that the targeting of cities and civilian objects continues to recur in Rafah, foreshadowing a bloodbath and a humanitarian catastrophe. Holding the occupying forces and the government of the United States of America fully responsible for the lives of Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territory, and warning against the acceptance of justifications by Israel and the United States aimed at warning the community and public opinion that the operation in Rafah will be limited, it calls on the world’s nations to assume their moral and legal responsibilities to ensure the cessation of genocide, by taking serious measures to expand the scope of boycott and impose sanctions on the Israeli occupation state, and to prevent the export of weapons to it, thereby compelling it to respect the principles and rules of international humanitarian law and relevant United Nations resolutions on the Palestinian issue. It records and demands the following:
The International Commission “Hashd”: Condemns the continued conspiracy of international and regional silence regarding the genocide being committed by the military occupation authorities, and calls on the world’s nations to turn condemnation and expression of concern into practical steps to enforce the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations and the measures of the International Court of Justice to ensure the protection of Palestinians, the flow of humanitarian aid, and support for civilians and victims of genocide and war crimes who have experienced and continue to endure unprecedented humanitarian disaster in human history.
The International Commission “Hashd”: Calls on the General Assembly of the United Nations to convene under the formula “United for Peace” to ensure the adoption of permanent Palestinian membership and the provision of international protection for Palestinian civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories as a step towards ending the Israeli occupation and the racist colonial settlement system.
The International Commission “Hashd”: Urges the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to expedite and accelerate the initiation of preliminary investigations and the issuance of arrest warrants against Israeli war criminals.
The International Commission “Hashd”: Urges the international solidarity movement with the Palestinian people, as well as all Arab, regional, and international unions, organizations, and movements, to act on all legal, political, diplomatic, human rights, and popular levels to ensure the cessation of genocide, protect Palestinians, and support the rights of the Palestinian people.
