Press Release

The International Commission Hashd” Accuses Israeli Occupation Forces of Deliberately Targeting Children in Gaza, Exposing Them to Death and Destruction through Hunger, Thirst, and the Spread of Diseases among forcibly displaced families

The International Commission “Hashd”: reports that Israeli forces have killed over 10,000 children in Gaza, along with 84 children in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Additionally, nearly 700 children have been detained since the start of the Israeli aggression and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Approximately 25,000 children have been injured, with 1,000 of them suffering amputations. Furthermore, around 3,700 children, out of 8,000 missing, remain buried under the rubble of their destroyed homes, which have turned into mass graves over their residents’ heads.

The International Commission “Hashd”: emphasizes the intentional targeting of children by Israeli forces for the purpose of extermination within the context of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, in violation of international humanitarian law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention.

In the face of the continuing genocide in Gaza, the humanitarian suffering of its residents intensifies, as they endure famine, diseases, health epidemics, and extreme cold. The threat of death and medical peril looms large, particularly for the 10,000 cancer patients, 155,000 pregnant and lactating women, and 135 children under two years old. The scarcity of drinkable water, the collapse of healthcare and humanitarian services, and the obstruction of humanitarian aid entry by Israeli forces compound the dire situation. Only 7% of Gaza’s needs are met by the limited aid allowed to enter, highlighting the international failure to stop the aggression and protect, rescue, and provide relief to children, women, journalists, medical personnel, and civilians.

The International Commission “Hashd”: strongly condemns the U.S. statements denying the genocidal crimes in Gaza, aimed at providing cover for their continuation. This negatively impacts the legal proceedings initiated by South Africa before the International Court of Justice against the Israeli occupation for committing genocide. The Committee also denounces the ongoing bias and partnership with the Israeli occupation in its continuous aggression on Gaza and other Palestinian territories.

The International Commission “Hashd”: vehemently condemns the Israeli Supreme Court’s decision to persist in banning the entry of international media into the Gaza Strip. This underscores the Israeli judiciary’s complicity in attempting to cover up the crimes of Israeli occupation forces and its insistence on concealing the truths about genocide, ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and ongoing collective punishments in Gaza. The decision blatantly violates the freedom of opinion, expression, and the lawful operation of media guaranteed under international law and human rights conventions.

The International Commission “Hashd”: calls on the free people of the world, countries, international organizations, to take immediate action to stop the Israeli aggression and genocide in Gaza and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories. It urges an end to the law of the jungle, double standards, and calls for the protection of civilians, ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and relief efforts. The Committee also urges measures to ensure the accountability of Israeli occupation leaders and their international partners before international justice for the crimes of genocide, aggression, and crimes against humanity committed against the Palestinian people. It expresses support for the Palestinian people’s struggle to end the occupation and determine their destiny.
