The International Commission (HASHD) warns against repeating the scene of the breaking into Al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulting worshippers.

The International Commission to Support the Palestinian Rights (HASHD) followed with strong concern and condemnation the incursion of dozens of settlers into the first morning of the day Sunday, March 26, 2023, to the holy al-Aqsa mosque from the Al-Maghreba entrance, with a heavy escort from the Israeli occupation police and with about 40 officers, which gave the two retreats inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque 10 minutes to exit the mosque. It unloaded the mosque squares of worshippers and forcibly retreated to secure the settlers’ incursions, arrested a number of citizens, forced all detainees out of the chain, and tried to seize their cell phones.

The repeated incursion and desecration of Israeli occupation soldiers into Al-Aqsa mosque and allowing settlers to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan would provoke feelings of Muslims, especially Palestinians and worshippers, inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as it violated Muslims’ red lines in blessed times.

The International Commission to Support  the Palestinians Rights (HASHD), emphasizing that Israeli incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque constitute an Israeli violation and aggression and provoke the feelings of Muslims in Palestine and the whole year, and considering that the Palestinians’ exercise of their right to pray and reunite at Al-Aqsa Mosque ; Regarded as a recognized right, and reaffirming that Israel’s policy of intrusions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque is contrary to the principles of international legality and international humanitarian law, as well as all relevant international resolutions on the question of Palestine, in particular those of the Security Council and the General Assembly on the city of occupied Jerusalem, it registers and affirms the following:

  •    The International Commission (HASHD): Calls upon the international community and the free people of the world to take a public stand condemning the Israeli violations and crimes committed against the city of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa mosque.
  •    The International Commission (HASHD): Calls on the Palestinian authorities to increase their engagement with the International Criminal Court, the United Nations, and the Human Rights Council to urge them to take serious action to compel the occupation authorities to abide by the norms of international law.
  •    The International Commission (HASHD): Calls on the League of Arab States and the Organization of the Islamic Conference to initiate international, political, and legal moves to pressure the occupation to cease its violations of the holy sites in Palestine.
  •    The International Commission (HASHD): Calls for the activation of the role of movements against Israeli occupation crimes in Jerusalem, including the activation of the role of solidarity movements and civil society organizations in the world to ensure that pressure is exerted on their governments to carry out their moral and legal duties to stop the crimes of occupation and settlers against Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinians.
