ICSPR address the international community and governments around the world to urge them to reject the American decision and to protect the international law principles.

Palestine / Gaza Strip: Wednesday, December 6, 2017, The International Commission to Support the Palestinian Rights ICSPR launched a campaign to address international bodies, and all the European foreign ministries to confront the recent US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and transferring its embassy to the city of Jerusalem.

Through its campaign, ICSPR aims at mobilizing international organizations and governments to respond to the recent American decision and to declare their clear rejection of it and all its real effects. ICSPR urges all these parties –to work hard to hold the American government the responsibility of the result of its clear violation of the established principles of international law and resolutions agreed upon by the international community represented by the United Nations.

ICSPR sent letters to several international and regional organization, including Secretary General of the United Nations, the heads of the International and Arab Parliament, the parliamentary associations, the European Union, the International Human Rights Council, a number of international human rights organizations, The Foreign Ministers of all European countries, demanding them to urgently intervene in order to maintain the application of the principles of international law by rejecting the recent American decision. ICSPR also urged all the addressing organization to respond legally, diplomatically and morally to hold the American administration the responsibility so it can not exempt under the claims that its final decision comes in accordance with the 1990 US Congress resolution and the US Embassy s relocation law in 1995..

The letters went on to clarify the contribution of the US president s decision to consider the crimes of settlement and confiscating the Palestinian land, as international crimes described by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, as these crimes violate the principle of the inadmissibility of the annexation of occupied territories of the Occupying Power. .

The letters provided many international legal guides to urge international organizations and European countries to consider the American decision as a clear violation of the principles of international legitimacy and international humanitarian law and all international resolutions relevant to the Palestinian cause since its inception, especially Security Council and General Assembly resolutions on Jerusalem. Security Council Resolution 2234 of 23 December 2016 on the illegality of Israeli settlements.

ICSPR praises the positions of a number of international organizations and European countries that have declared their rejection of the American resolution, demanding that they adopt diplomatic and legal positions and put pressure on the US administration to back down its last decision and that these organizations and states do not sacrifice international law and its stable principles for the benefit of  Israel.

ICSPR announced that its network of Goodwill Ambassadors around the world start to arrange many events to resist the American decision as a part of the ICSPR campaign to ensure accountability of Israel and the US for their crimes against the Palestinian people
