The International Commission (ICSPR): The current risks and circumstances require the intensification of specific national efforts to confront the spread of the Coronavirus, and constitute a unique opportunity to restore unity
Occupied Palestine / Gaza: The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) called for serious efforts to end the internal Palestinian division, as a vital entry point for preserving Palestinian human health, through a national initiative based on the Palestinian President’s declaration to stop all punitive measures against the Gaza Strip, and Hamas to announce immediately dissolving the committee to follow up government work in Gaza, allowing the government of Dr. “Muhammad Shtayyeh” to be placed in front of its responsibilities and enable it to carry out its work, with consensus in the form of the weapon of resistance, holding elections and other pending issues, after the end of the Coronavirus crisis.
During the press conference, which was held on Sunday, to provide an objective and evaluative reading about the challenges facing the preventive and curative measures and measures designed to confront the Coronavirus, the International Commission stressed the need to neutralize the health sector from any tensions, and to start immediately supplying treatments, consumables, and laboratory examination materials, especially those needed to conduct the tests designed to detect cases of coronavirus infection.
ICSPR also stressed the importance of adopting a Palestinian human rights and diplomatic discourse, stressing the responsibility of the Israeli military occupation to provide medical supplies to the residents of the occupied territory in war, in implementation of the system of international humanitarian law and international human rights law recognized in this regard.
ICSPR called on municipal and village councils and neighborhood committees in all parts of the country to the necessity to seek successful experiences around the world, in a way that guarantees the fortification of the social solidarity system
ICSPR also affirmed that the current success in confronting the Corona virus will be steadfast and persistent if the right environment is provided, by intensifying and unifying efforts and procedures designed to confront the spread of the Coronavirus, and keeping it away on the scope of political rivalries and the state of division, and taking the competent authorities into consideration the need to ensure that preventive and precautionary measures include all parts of the homeland.
