ICSPR Continues Psychosocial and Recreational Support Activities for Children in the Northern Gaza Strip
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights – ICSPR, in partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” organized a recreational meeting targeting a group of children in Ahl Lebanon Camp in the Al-Saftawi area, north of the Gaza Strip, with the participation of 24 children aged between 7 and 12 years. This activity comes as part of joint efforts to support children psychologically and strengthen their resilience amid the harsh conditions of displacement.
The meeting included a range of recreational and interactive activities aimed at bringing joy to children and providing them with a safe space to express themselves freely, in light of the difficult conditions they face in displacement camps.
The activity witnessed a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere, with children actively engaging in the activities, which contributed to enhancing their self-confidence and alleviating some of the psychological stress they experience, within a supportive and encouraging environment.
ICSPR affirmed that this activity comes within the framework of its partnership with the Italian campaign “100×100 Gaza,” which aims to support children in the Gaza Strip through humanitarian response programs, including recreational, interactive, and psychosocial support activities, to mitigate the impact of the difficult humanitarian conditions affecting children.
ICSPR stressed the importance of continuing and expanding such initiatives, which contribute to protecting children, supporting their mental health, and enabling them to experience a more stable childhood despite the challenges. It also emphasized the need to provide a safe and nurturing environment that meets their basic needs.
