ICSPR Continues Implementing Group Guidance Activities to Promote Civil Peace and Protect Children

The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) organized a recreational and psychosocial support day for children at the Capital Shelter Center 1 on Monday, 17 November 2025, with the participation of 20 boys and girls. This activity comes as part of ICSPR’s ongoing efforts to strengthen psychological and social support for children affected by the difficult conditions experienced by residents of the Gaza Strip.

The event was held in an atmosphere filled with joy and excitement, aiming to provide a safe space for children to release daily stress, express their feelings freely, and enhance their social interaction. The day included a variety of recreational and interactive activities, such as group games, drawing, handicrafts, and sports activities that added a sense of enthusiasm and positive competition among the children.

Visible signs of happiness appeared on the children’s faces as they enjoyed the activities, which provided them with an outlet to reduce stress and strengthen their sense of safety and reassurance. The event contributed to boosting their morale, developing their creativity, and enhancing their communication and teamwork skills.

The organizing team emphasized that such activities serve as an essential pillar in improving the psychological well-being of children in shelter centers and supporting their ability to cope with difficult realities. They recommended continuing to organize recreational days on a regular basis due to their significant positive impact on children’s social and psychological well-being.

The activity was implemented under the supervision of:

  • Dr. Khalil Ali Abu Jarad – Capital Shelter Center 1

  • Ms. Lubna Dieb – ICSPR

  • Mr. Mohammed Salim – ICSPR

These activities come as part of the psychosocial support program implemented by ICSPR, which aims to protect children, enhance their resilience, and provide safe environments that contribute to empowering them and building a better future.
