During Eid al-Fitr, Israel Continues Committing the Most Horrific Acts of Genocide Against Gaza’s Population
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) strongly condemns the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, it was revealed that Israeli occupation forces committed a horrific massacre by targeting and executing 15 paramedics and medical personnel from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and Civil Defense teams while they were carrying out their humanitarian duties in Rafah a week ago. The bodies of nine paramedics, five Civil Defense workers, and one UNRWA staff member were recovered after losing contact with them for the past eight days. A medical examination of the bodies revealed that their hands and feet had been tied, they were shot in the chest in a field execution, and then buried in a deep pit to conceal the crime.
Meanwhile, during Eid al-Fitr, Israeli occupation forces killed 80 Palestinians and injured 305 others due to ongoing military aggression. Since the resumption of the genocidal war on March 18, 2025, the number of martyrs in Gaza has reached 1,001, with 2,359 wounded, while approximately 240,000 forcibly displaced persons were driven out of northern Gaza and Khan Younis, and today, the entire city of Rafah has been forcibly displaced.
The total toll of the Israeli military aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has now risen to 50,357 martyrs and 114,400 wounded, with more than 14,000 missing under the rubble. Seventy percent of the genocide victims are women and children. Additionally, the number of Civil Defense personnel killed has reached 111, while 1,461 medical personnel and 372 humanitarian workers, including staff from international organizations, have also been killed.
Furthermore, the Israeli occupation continues to blockade crossings and prevent the entry of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and fuel for the 30th consecutive day, exacerbating famine, thirst, medical shortages, and deprivation of essential services. This is part of a deliberate strategy of starvation and mass extermination aimed at rendering Gaza uninhabitable and enforcing the forcible displacement of its population beyond Palestinian lands.
The ICSPR strongly condemns the U.S. support and complicity in the ongoing genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement. It also denounces the shameful international inaction and failure to hold Israel accountable. The ICSPR calls on the international community to condemn these crimes, hold Israel accountable, impose sanctions, and take effective humanitarian action to stop the genocide. It further demands the immediate opening of humanitarian corridors to allow the entry of fuel, medical supplies, and essential aid for Gaza’s residents. Additionally, the ICSPR urges the international community to deploy international protection forces to safeguard civilians, medical teams, Civil Defense personnel, humanitarian workers, children, women, and journalists.
