Press Release
The International Commission “ICSPR” Continues Its Efforts to Support Displaced People and Promote the Culture of Civil Peace in Gaza

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen community cohesion and entrench the values of civil peace, the International Commission to Support the Palestinian People’s Rights (ICSPR) organized a special community workshop at the Beit Lahia Club Camp on the shores of Gaza, with active participation from various segments of society—including women, youth, and the elderly—from among the displaced people facing dire humanitarian conditions due to the ongoing aggression and blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.

This workshop was held within the framework of the Commission’s continuous efforts to activate the role of the community in facing humanitarian challenges and to build collective awareness on how to safeguard civil peace amid what the Commission described as a “deepening humanitarian catastrophe” in the Gaza Strip.

The session was facilitated by lawyer Rana Hdeib, who presented the main crises endured by Gaza’s residents, foremost among them the widespread famine, the acute shortage of food and clean water, and the complete collapse of the healthcare system—all consequences of the ongoing siege and relentless attacks on civilian and medical infrastructure.

The workshop focused on several vital themes, including:

  • Preserving the humanitarian nature of aid and protecting it from theft or exploitation.

  • Ensuring fair and organized distribution of humanitarian assistance so it reaches every person in need without discrimination or favoritism.

  • Promoting community awareness to prevent chaos and encouraging a spirit of cooperation and solidarity among members of society.

  • Highlighting the importance of civil peace as a shield against division and conflict, and as a foundation for maintaining internal unity during this critical period.

The workshop witnessed significant engagement from attendees, who shared their questions and concerns reflecting the scale of suffering they endure. Participants also expressed appreciation for the vital role played by the International Commission “HADSH” in supporting their rights and amplifying their voices in international legal and media platforms.

The Commission emphasized that this workshop is part of a broader series of community and awareness-raising activities being implemented across various areas of the Gaza Strip. These initiatives aim to raise the voice of Palestinian society against the ongoing crimes and violations, and to reaffirm the people’s legitimate right to live in dignity and freedom—free from collective punishment and systematic targeting.

In conclusion, the Commission called for greater coordination among active institutions and grassroots initiatives to strengthen the resilience of Palestinian society and protect the social fabric from disintegration amid the compounding crises.
