The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) Calls for an End to Israel’s Brutal Crimes and the Law of the Jungle, and for the Provision of International Protection for Palestinians
For the 463rd consecutive day of the genocide war, the Israeli occupation forces have escalated their aggression, committing over 50 massacres since the beginning of 2025 against civilians in their homes, shelters, and displacement camps. This has resulted in nearly 1,000 deaths and over 2,500 injuries so far. The total number of massacres since the aggression began has reached 10,040, with a death toll of 61,000 martyrs and missing persons and more than 109,000 injured. Additionally, these crimes have caused a reduction in the population growth rate to 6%.
The occupation forces continue to issue displacement orders, forcibly evicting residents from most areas of Gaza, particularly in the northern region, Gaza City, Nuseirat, Bureij, and Deir al-Balah. This has led to the displacement of thousands under catastrophic humanitarian conditions. The ongoing atrocities demonstrate the occupation’s intent to annihilate Gaza’s population through demographic and geographic changes. Entire neighborhoods and infrastructure are being obliterated, especially in northern Gaza, where systematic destruction of civilian facilities and homes is taking place, aimed at depopulating the region.
The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza deepens amidst the ongoing collective punishment by the Israeli occupation, depriving residents of essential needs such as food, water, electricity, fuel, tents, and winter clothing. The northern Gaza region has been under a severe siege for approximately 100 days. More than two million people endure worsening conditions, compounded by cold winter temperatures and torrential rain that has flooded thousands of worn-out tents housing the displaced. Concurrently, the Israeli army systematically obstructs the entry of aid and goods, closes crossings, and targets aid workers, exacerbating chaos by supporting criminal gangs that loot humanitarian supplies. This has intensified hunger, disease outbreaks, and increased mortality rates, especially among the injured and ill. Over 24,000 patients and injured persons are still denied medical evacuation for treatment outside Gaza, amidst the collapse of the health system.
The ICSPR strongly condemns the ongoing crimes and violations against prisoners, including torture, starvation, denial of medical treatment, sexual harassment, and violence. Prisoners are deprived of their rights, and international bodies are prevented from visiting them or investigating their conditions. A recent example is Israel’s refusal to allow the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Pramila Patten, to investigate allegations of systematic mass rape against Palestinians, including women and children. The ICSPR also demands an investigation into the Israeli media’s exposure of a secret detention wing called “Rikvet,” established by Defense Minister Ben Gvir. This facility, located underground, operates under severe conditions, tortures prisoners from Gaza classified as “unlawful combatants,” and deprives them of rights guaranteed under the Third and Fourth Geneva Conventions.
In the West Bank, the ICSPR condemns Israel’s escalating violations, including field executions, assassinations, incursions into cities and camps, and the destruction of property and infrastructure, particularly in Tulkarm and Jenin camps. During 2024, 512 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank. Settlement expansion continues, with 52,000 dunums of Palestinian land confiscated, 12 buffer zones around settlements established, approval for building 23,000 settlement units granted, and over 1,732 attacks by settlers against Palestinians, including 590 targeting properties and 377 against agricultural lands. These actions confirm Israel’s pursuit of colonial annexation plans in the West Bank.
The ICSPR strongly condemns the grave violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law committed by Israel in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, with U.S. partnership and the complicity of certain European countries. The Commission denounces the international community’s silence and inability to halt Israel’s crimes. While appreciating Ireland’s support in South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the ICSPR holds Israel fully responsible for its genocidal crimes, ethnic cleansing, war crimes, and other severe violations, including deteriorating humanitarian conditions. It also condemns the U.S. Congress’s legislation targeting ICC staff and affiliates pursuing Israeli war crimes cases.
The ICSPR strongly rejects Israel’s official publication of “historical” maps that claim territories in Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, reflecting expansionist colonial ambitions. Such acts necessitate intensified international responses to confront Israel’s crimes and aggressive policies.
The ICSPR calls on the international community to take urgent and effective action to:
- Provide international protection for Palestinians.
- Impose sanctions on Israel and hold its leaders accountable in international courts.
- Exert pressure on Israel to comply with international humanitarian and human rights law.
- Stop genocide and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
- Facilitate the work of international organizations, investigative missions, journalists, and humanitarian workers.
- Ensure Israel adheres to ICJ rulings and UN resolutions related to Palestine.
End.
